The Universal Audiovisual Library (also know as the ā€œAudiovideoteca Universaleā€) project is devoted to create a shared multimedia database from data uploaded and tagged from users, as expected in a Web 2.0 project.

We wish to involve public departments (Municipalities, Ministry of Culture etc.) to contribute with low resolution reproduction of material they own.

All data in the database will be maintained under a Creative Commons license in order to assure the author (or the owner) to choose the uses and restrictions to apply on data itself.

This project is non-profit: Telematics Freedom Foundation, as project promoter, will use every incoming fund for this project (donations, regional funds etc.) for the scope of the project itself, without refund or reward for his own staff.

This project will use a brand new business model to allow multimedia and audiovisual authors to get money from advertising and royalties from third parts use of his/her own material.

The database will include heterogeneous data and multimedia material but there will be a special area devoted to Rome, protected with Creative Commons licensing, and organized with an access system that allow to insert data in the time and in the place they are referred placing it inside 2D and 3D maps devoted to various historical ages.
